The guru of aspired lifestyle is dipping her toes in the fast-climbing CBD market. Martha Stewart has partnered up with Canopy Growth, the first cannabis company in North America to be traded publicly, to release a new line of comestibles infused with cannabidiol.
“I’ve found that CBD supplements are a simple way to enhance my own health and wellness, especially when it comes to managing the stresses of daily life" explains Stewart. "I drew inspiration from some of my favorite recipes and flavor profiles from my greenhouse and gardens – these gummies closely resemble the French confection pâte de fruits. My CBD supplement line offers beautiful, elevated products that help people live well especially this holiday season.”
The initial offering of four products is small but it packs a might punch. Martha Stewart CBD line features “Wellness Gummies," in either citrus or berry flavors, softgels and oil drops available in blood orange, Meyer lemon, or unflavored varieties, all inspired by some of Martha's favorite recipes and ingredients. Stewart's partnership with Canopy Growth is as rooted in trends as it is mutual business savvy.
“One of our differentiators has to be knowing the consumer better than anyone, and we’re going to be applying our science to do that,” told Canopy Growth CEO David Klein to Fast Company. “We’ve been doing it in all kinds of pharma pursuits, but we have human affect scientists [who] tell us that when you try a product, what it does physiologically, how you feel, that’s their job to optimize for that. So my view is, if we know what that consumer wants, we can use our human affects guys to help us figure out how to get that experience for the consumer, then package it underneath our brands and bring it to our consumers in a safe and effective way.”
Rumor has it, big things are happening for Martha Stewart CBD including new gourmet flavor profiles and…wait for it…CBD treats for pets.
